Meredith Frey spent her time riding horses from a young age in both New Jersey and California. (It was the only thing either side of the country had in common!) She obtained a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, & Institutional Management from Penn State and went to work in the corporate business world for a short time after graduation. Meredith knew this wasn’t the career path for her and after some self-discovery, decided to return to her equine roots and become a veterinarian. Since that decision, it seemed everything fell into place perfectly. She worked as a technician for a large animal clinic in Utah while completing her prerequisites for vet school. Meredith attended and recently graduated from the Colorado State University where her focus on equine surgery, medicine, reproduction, and ambulatory practice flourished. While at CSU, Meredith was actively involved as an officer of the Student Chapter of AAEP, providing great avenues of networking and opportunities to further her education outside of the classroom. Dr. Frey is excited to be back on the east coast for a year internship with The Piedmont Equine Practice to continue to build a strong foundation for her career in equine veterinary medicine.
