Kathryn grew up just outside of Columbia, South Carolina where she developed a passion for horses at an early age and grew up riding hunter/jumper.

She earned her bachelor's degree in animal and veterinary sciences with a minor in wildlife biology from Clemson University, where she served as Vice President of the Clemson Collegiate Horseman's Association. Kathryn went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia, graduating in 2026 as a member of Phi Zeta and was awarded the John Morton Award for Humane Animal Care. During veterinary school, she was actively involved in the student chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and Omega Tau Sigma and spent her summers working with various equine ambulatory veterinarians who helped develop her love for the field.

She likes all aspects of equine veterinary medicine, with particular interests in sports medicine, podiatry, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and theriogenology. Outside of work, she loves riding, running, hiking, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
