Nadia Novik
Nadia Novik grew up in Millbrook, New York, where horses were a way of life and a lifelong passion for animals took root. She earned her degree from Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania before heading west, drawn by the landscapes and lifestyle of the Mountain West. Although she majored in English Literature, Nadia quickly realized her true passion was animal care and went on to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Nadia’s career has spanned clinical, academic, and leadership roles. She returned east to work at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in the Shelter Medicine department as well as Manager at the Tompkins
County SPCA before settling in Idaho, where she practiced as an LVT and later transitioned into management at Mountain Humane in Hailey, Idaho. After 16 years in a small mountain community, Nadia moved to Boise and served as Chief Operations Officer at the Idaho Humane Society, leading a 100-employee organization caring for more than 10,000 animals annually.
Missing family—especially time with her niece and nephew—and hoping for a shorter winter, Nadia returned east once again. She is thrilled to call Northern Virginia home, where proximity to family and abundant equine opportunities make it the perfect fit.
Outside of work, Nadia enjoys hiking with her two rescue Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Siggy and Roxy. She is an avid eventer with her horse, Traveler, and appreciates a more relaxed pace with her Irish Draught, Henry, who has made it clear that galloping over large fences is not his goal. Nadia is delighted to be part of the Piedmont team and values working closely with staff and clients to ensure an exceptional experience for both people and animals.
